  • 26 March 2020: Atlas V rocket launches AEHF 6 satellite for U.S. Space Force

Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla., (March 26, 2020) – A United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket carrying the sixth Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) communications satellite for the U.S. Space Force’s Space and Missile Systems Center lifted off from Space Launch Complex-41 on March 26 at 4:18 p.m. EDT. This marks the 83rd successful launch of an Atlas V rocket, 138th launch for ULA and first mission for the U.S. Space Force. Full article

  • 17 March 2020: Intelsat selects SpaceX to launch Intelsat-40e satellite in 2022

McLean, VA – Intelsat (NYSE: I) has selected SpaceX as its launch partner for Intelsat 40e (IS-40e). The launch is planned for 2022 on SpaceX’s American-built Falcon 9 launch vehicle. Full article

  • 18 February 2020: JCSAT 17 and GEO Kompsat-2B satellites launched by Ariane 5 ECA

On Tuesday, February 18 at 22:18 UTC (Universal Time Coordinates), Arianespace successfully launched two satellites using an Ariane 5 rocket from the Guiana Space Center (CSG), Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana (South America): JCSAT-17 for the Japanese operator SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation, and GEO-KOMPSAT-2B for the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI).
